The Inspiration

A rare variety, this white cocoa grows in the heart of the oldest plantations, in Piura, north-west Peru. Extracted by hand from the pods, the beans are fermented before being sun-dried and roasted.
In order to capture the most beautiful facets of this white cocoa, the perfumer collaborated with a French Maître Chocolatier to obtain the perfect roasting, thus revealing sensual nutty and milky notes, with Tonka bean undertone.
After a sweet rum opening, the perfumer Marie Hugentobler unveils the addictive bitterness of the cocoa, comforted by powdery and woody notes. A dry down of light tobacco, patchouli and sandalwood follows, giving CACAO PORCELANA its sensual and unique signature.

Ladies in stunning evening gowns whose perfume were blended with gentlemen cigar, ready to enjoy the show from their table in the front row. “Chantants were the charming singers of those Cafes, also attended by women who had fun imitating those gestures and clothing that drove their men crazy. In Italian way of speech, “chantant became “sciantosa" that is a kind of extreme femineity and charming, in a full Italian folk. Powdery heart notes of the fragrance remind the atmosphere of Cafe in such a realistic way.

Cape Heartache is the lone American contribution to Philip Sava’s wildly popular series of exploration novels. It is based loosely on an expedition he made to the Pacific Northwest as a teenager in 1881 and is generally regarded as the most candid of his works. Revolving around a homestead he built in a coastal grove of old growth trees, the novel documents his romance with a young woman who was a descendent of the Nehalem Indian Tribe.
